See grizzlies run amok at zoo’s Bear Affair & Big Howl for Wolves | Urban Wildlife
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Sure, it’s all well and good to watch the Woodland Park Zoo’s grizzly bears trundle about their exhibit or nap, but what you really want to see is those killing machines tear something apart with their giant claws.
Well, you’ll have that chance at the zoo’s June 4 Bear Affair & Big Howl for Wolves – it’s destructive and educational.
The Bear Affair & Big Howl for Wolves is a full day of activities focused on bears and wolves and how humans can co-exist with them and features a guest appearance from bear ecologist and adventurer Chris Morgan.
From Woodland Park Zoo:
Hear Chris Morgan’s insights into the beauty and wonder of awe-inspiring bears and their survival skills. Discover Malayan sun bears, sloth bears and the zoo’s new pack of wolves at zookeeper talks. Watch grizzlies rip through a mock campsite and a yard setting in the naturalistic grizzly bear exhibit. Learn safety camping tips by Boy Scouts. Talk to representatives from Wolf Haven International and Conservation Northwest. Get up close to a Karelian bear dog and find out how these Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife partner dogs play an essential role in training nuisance bears to avoid human contact. Enjoy crafts for kids and much more.
