Two donuts enter, one donut leaves in Food Network Challenge | Entertainment

Get ready for a hometown, basic cable doughnut showdown this spring.

Local doughnut purveyors Mighty-O Donuts and Top Pot Doughnuts, as well as two clearly inferior opponents from Colorado and Virginia, will be going head to head in "Food Network Challenge: Donut Champions," which airs April 10.

In the challenge, each doughnut competitor will build "an original doughnut showpiece" in an attempt to win $10,000.

So does Green Lake's organic underdog Mighty-O have what it takes to best Seattle's doughnut powerhouse Top Pot, which has six locations? You'll have to tune in you find out.

"Food Network Challenge: Donut Champions" airs at 8 p.m. April 10 on Food Network.
